Introduction

At SafeRide IQ, we respect your privacy. We believe that the less we know about you, the better. That is why we aim to limit the information we collect to the absolute minimum necessary to provide our Service. This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the SafeRide IQ application, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Privacy at a glance:

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to change this policy, which we will do through online posting.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the terms "SafeRide IQ," "we," "us" and "our" refer to SafeRide IQ LLC, the legal entity operating the SafeRide IQ application. The terms "application," "Service," and "product" refer to the SafeRide IQ mobile application and related services. "You" refers to you, as a user of the application.

Disclaimer

SafeRide IQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by any government agency, law enforcement organization, medical body, or testing standards organization (including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). SafeRide IQ is an advisory wellness tool designed to help adults make informed decisions about whether they may be impaired and should not drive.

SafeRide IQ:

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

SafeRide IQ is a privacy-first, on-device application. The following describes the limited categories of data the app handles, and how it handles them.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device (Never Transmitted)

The following data is stored only on your device using Apple's secure local storage. It is never sent to any server and is never accessible to us or to any third party:

You may delete this data at any time within the app's Settings, or by uninstalling the application from your device.

Data Processed Transiently on Your Device (Never Stored, Never Transmitted)

The following data is captured momentarily during a test, processed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks, and discarded as soon as test results are computed. None of this raw data is saved, logged, or transmitted:

Data We Do Not Collect

SafeRide IQ does not collect, transmit, or store:

Location Data

SafeRide IQ requests "While Using the App" location permission for one purpose only: when you tap a ride-share button (Uber, Lyft, Curb, or Waymo) on the Get Home Safe screen, the app obtains your current GPS coordinates and passes them to the selected ride-share app via deep link, so that your pickup location is pre-filled. The coordinates are not stored, not logged, and not sent anywhere except to the ride-share app you chose to open. You may decline location permission, in which case the ride-share apps will open without a pre-filled pickup location.

Use of Your Personal Data

SafeRide IQ does not use your data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose other than providing the Service itself.

Sharing of Your Personal Data

SafeRide IQ does not share your personal data with anyone. We have no servers, no analytics partners, no advertising partners, and no third-party data processors.

The only outbound data exchange that occurs through the app is when you actively tap a ride-share button or contact button:

Retention of Your Personal Data

All data is stored on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. You can delete test history entries, clear your profile, or uninstall the application at any time to permanently remove all SafeRide IQ data from your device. Since we have no servers, no copy of your data exists anywhere else.

Security of Your Personal Data

Your data is protected by the same iOS security mechanisms that protect all data on your iPhone, including device encryption when your phone is locked. Because no data is transmitted, there is no transmission-layer risk to mitigate.

Third-Party Services

SafeRide IQ does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. The app uses only Apple's first-party frameworks.

When you use the Get Home Safe ride-share features, the app may open the following third-party applications, each governed by their own privacy policy:

GDPR Privacy

If you are within the European Union, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because all your data is stored on your device, you may exercise these rights directly within the app's Settings (view, edit, or delete profile and history; uninstall the app to remove everything).

CCPA Privacy (California Residents)

This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy and applies solely to California residents.
